Your Guide To This Day In Vermont History
The Vermont Book Of Days launched on August 29, 2004. It told a different story from Vermont’s history 365 days per year (366 on leap years).
Every day, Vermonters enjoyed these stories on television, radio, the web, and in print. These powerful Vermont stories were told in each medium to ensure that every Vermonter could find it.
In addition to its multi-media presentation, The Vermont Book Of Days was also available as a book. The Vermont Book Of Days - The First Year sold more than 1,000 copies in its first 10 days of release, available at bookstores and specialty shops throughout Vermont and has since sold out.
The Vermont Book Of Days went off the air on December 31, 2010. It was a spectacular program to produce, and we have archived one year’s worth of stories on this website. We told so many stories over the course of the years that it’s impossible to thank everyone. So thank you.
We enjoyed finding and developing each story. We, of course, covered statewide and well-known events, but we also got to tell stories that don't often get mainstream attention. This program allowed us to involve as many people, places, and events as possible. And we still encourage you to contact us with any fascinating stories or feedback about the program.
