A
woman in Rutland had a surprise visit from a deer on this day in
1923. The deer had wandered into Mrs. Brunelle’s garden at
about the same time Mrs. Brunelle was leaving the henhouse to return
to her house.
Mrs.
Brunelle tried to make it quickly across the yard, but the curious
deer had other plans, chasing her twice around the garden and eventually
forcing her into the nearest building - right back into the chicken
coop.
The
deer stood outside while Mrs. Brunelle bided her time inside the
rather chaotic henhouse. Eventually, the deer got bored and left,
and, presumably, Mrs. Brunelle flew the coop.

This
deer is spied eating ivy from someone's garden,
similar to the deer in Mrs. Brunelle's garden.
